Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Analyst, A2R, located in Taguig City, Philippines.

The Sr. Analyst, Accounting to Reporting (A2R) plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant accounting and financial reporting for DePuy Synthes. This role supports and leads components of the period‑end close, complex account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities, while serving as a knowledgeable partner to regional and global finance stakeholders. The position offers increased responsibility, opportunities to drive process improvements, and strong exposure to end‑to‑end accounting operations within a global, regulated organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform and review accounting‑to‑reporting (A2R) activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and period‑end close processes. 

  • Prepare and review complex balance sheet and profit and loss account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies. 

  • Support and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and reporting activities. 

  • Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations and financial results. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance standards, and audit requirements. 

  • Support statutory, internal, and external audit activities, including preparation of required documentation. 

  • Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance A2R processes, efficiency, and quality. 

 

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. 

  • Master’s degree, MBA, or professional accounting qualification is preferred. 

Experience and Skills: 

Required: 

  • Typically 0-2 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or finance operations roles. 

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and end‑to‑end financial close processes. 

  • Experience preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and financial reports. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve variances. 

  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience working in a shared services or global finance environment. 

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. 

  • Exposure to internal controls, SOX, or audit processes. 

  • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated industries. 

  • Progress toward or completion of professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA). 

Other: 

  • Languages: English and Spanish proficiency are required. 

  • Travel: Minimal travel expected, up to 10%. 

  • Certifications: Professional accounting certifications are preferred.
