Job Description
Essential Functions:Â
* Play a key technical role in all phases of a project (Strategy, Definition, Design, Engineering, and QA)Â
* Develop and build connected architectures for clients that reflect mobile best practicesÂ
* Translate business requirements into solid, sound technical documentation which represent an innovative connected solutionÂ
* Lead, organize, and position Product Engineering and other operational teams to present optimal work product to clientsÂ
* Evaluate new technologies in order to deliver premium products and to clientsÂ
* Help manage, contribute and evangelize the client's internal projectsÂ
* Contribute to open source projectsÂ
* Contribute to monthly team meetings, and report on goals and accomplishmentsÂ
REQUIREMENTS:Â
* Full life cycle development experience for Android phone, tablet, and other devices that run the Android OS (or derivatives)Â
* Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Java and related technologiesÂ
* Solid understanding of Web Service standards (JSON, REST, etc), specifications and frameworksÂ
* Expert knowledge of the software development life cycle and methodologyÂ
* Strong object oriented design and analysis skillsÂ
* Experience developing Universal AppsÂ
* Understanding of the mobile app ecosystem and strong personal initiative are essentialÂ
* Demonstrable portfolio of Android related applicationsÂ
* Have worked with automated build systems such as JenkinsÂ
* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
* Strong coding architecture experience and adhering to coding standards is a mustÂ
* Implemented extensive data caching modelsÂ
* Experience with Agile programming and rapid prototyping is a plus
