Role purposeÂ
Supporting the store manager in the daily business operations of the retail store. Conducting generalÂ
tasks which include supervising, communicating, and carrying out store duties to ensure the efficientÂ
operation of the store. Â

The key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows:Â
• Supervising, training, and motivating staff to perform at their ultimate bestÂ
• Assisting the retail store manager in planning and implementing strategies to attract customersÂ
• Coordinating the daily customer service operations such as sales process, orders, and paymentsÂ
• Tracking the progress of weekly, monthly, and annual objectivesÂ
• Monitoring and maintaining the store inventoryÂ
• Evaluating employee performance and identifying hiring and training needsÂ
• Coaching and supporting new and existing sales associates in the storeÂ
• Suggesting sales techniques and ideas with the team to increase sales revenueÂ
• Communicating with clients and evaluating their needsÂ
• Evaluating consumer behavior and adjusting product positioningÂ
• Producing reports and analysing and interpreting retail dataÂ
• Making sure that all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelinesÂ
• Acting as a store representative and setting an example for the rest of the teamÂ
• Ensuring a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.Â

Core competencies, knowledge, and experienceÂ
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a retail store, ideally occupying a supervisory orÂ
leadership roleÂ
• Familiarity with financial and customer service principlesÂ
• Able to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets, and sales statisticsÂ
• Proficient user of MS Office Â
• Leadership and organizational abilitiesÂ
• Interpersonal and communication skillsÂ
• Problem-solving attitudeÂ
• Flexibility to work in shifts
