Card Product Designer
About this role
The Card Product Designer will be responsible for designing and enhancing customer-centric card products across debit and credit card offerings. This role focuses on developing product features, pricing structures, customer journeys, and value propositions that drive product adoption, usage, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will combine strong product thinking, market insight, and payments ecosystem knowledge to create innovative card solutions that meet customer needs while supporting business growth.
Product Design & Innovation
- Design and develop innovative debit, credit, and premium card products.
- Define product features including rewards programs, benefits, pricing models, and target customer segments.
- Develop compelling value propositions that differentiate the product in the market.
Customer Experience Design
- Map and optimize end-to-end customer journeys including application, onboarding, activation, usage, and servicing.
- Work closely with UX/UI and digital teams to create seamless card experiences across mobile and web platforms.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and improve the customer experience.
Market & Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and product opportunities.
- Benchmark card products, pricing models, and benefits against local and international competitors.
Product Development
- Collaborate with technology, operations, compliance, and card scheme partners to develop and launch new card products.
- Support product roadmap planning and innovation initiatives within the cards business.
Product Performance Optimization
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer behavior, and usage trends.
- Recommend enhancements to improve customer engagement, product adoption, and profitability.
Key Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
4β6 years of experience in card product management, digital banking, fintech, or payments.
Proven experience working with debit or credit card products.
Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem including card schemes and digital channels.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as technology, operations, and marketing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
