HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

• Assists nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in the safe delivery of patient care.
• Assists in coordination of patient care with other departments.
• Assists in the maintenance of a well-stocked, no expired supplies/equipment, and clean Emergency Department.

Reports:

RN, Assistant Nurse Managers

Supervises:

None

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age. Passed monitor examination within six (6) months post-hire.

Required Experience:

Six (6) months of Emergency Care Technician I (JC: 770105) experience (or equivalent) in an emergency department setting. Human Resources (HR) may accept Florida EMT licensure in lieu of the required experience.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

Minimum: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Prefered Certification/License/Registry:  Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXIX (Public Health), Chapter 401 (Medical Telecommunications and Transportation), Part III (Medical Transportation Services).
