Finance Business Partner / FP&A Manager - 12 month FTC

Overview

Due to internal promotions, we have two exciting opportunities within the Business Performance team at Screwfix! We’re currently recruiting for two brilliant opportunities within our commercial Finance team, offering the chance to join a fast-paced, commercially focused environment where finance plays a key role in driving business performance and strategic decision-making. Whether your background is in Commercial Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), these roles offer excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, meaningful business partnering, and the opportunity to make a real impact.

 

These are 12-month fixed term contract/secondment opportunities.

Responsibilities

Finance Business Partner – CommercialThis role supports our Trade Categories to drive sales and margin performance in line with business strategy. Working closely with commercial stakeholders, you’ll provide insight, analysis, and decision support to help optimise category performance and manage risk and opportunity.  Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor sales, margin, and rate trends against forecast and budgetProvide insight and recommendations at category, SKU, and vendor levelSupport budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processesAnalyse key commercial drivers including pricing, loyalty, and range performanceOwn reporting and modelling for Vendor Buying Agreements, rebates, and fundingDeliver detailed category P&L analysis and ad hoc commercial insightPartner with reporting and data teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency  About YouQualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA)Strong analytical and advanced Excel skillsCommercially aware with experience in a retail or product-led environmentAble to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders   FP&A ManagerA key leadership role within the Business Performance function, positioned at the centre of the FP&A team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, FP&A, you’ll lead a team of analysts and play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the business through forecasting, planning, and strategic insight.  Key ResponsibilitiesLead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processesPresent financial forecasts and scenario analysis to Board-level stakeholdersDeliver robust P&L and cash forecasting, highlighting risks and opportunitiesSupport strategic growth initiatives through financial analysis and performance trackingPartner with wider Finance and Group Business Performance teamsLead and develop a high-performing analyst team  About YouQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post-qualified experienceStrong FP&A experience across budgeting, forecasting, and planning cyclesConfident presenting to senior stakeholders and leadership teamsAble to turn financial data into clear, actionable insightExperience within a large corporate environment advantageous
