The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsonās Research (āthe Foundationā) is seeking top talent for itsĀ Grants Manager positions.Ā Ā Reporting to the Senior Manager of Grantmaking, these positions areĀ focused on supporting the core business of grantmaking andĀ grantsĀ administration and play a critical role in the Research Operations department.Ā Ā TheĀ Research OperationsĀ department has a unique vantage point across the Foundation and partners with programmatic teams and collaborates closely with various internal stakeholders to facilitate grantmaking, project and program management in support of the Foundationās mission.Ā
These roles oversee andĀ manageĀ a portfolio of grants and projects, acting as a primary liaison between internal andĀ external stakeholders at researchers, universities, private-public partnerships, and multi-partner consortia. These positions areĀ central to ensure high quality user experiences forĀ the FoundationāsĀ research community and eļ¬cient/eļ¬ectiveĀ grants and project administration.Ā Ā
This is a hybrid-flex position that will require in-person attendance at the Foundationās office in New York City.

KeyĀ Responsibilities:Ā Ā
- Manage the lifecycle of a grant, including award administration, reporting, modifications,Ā terminationsĀ and/or closuresĀ
- Prepare all grant-related correspondence including agreements,Ā paymentĀ schedules, and/or reporting requirementsĀ
- Provide compliance-based review of budgets, financial statements, and expense and progress reports to ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to grantmakingĀ
- Maintain the integrity of systems of record to accurately track and communicateĀ awardedĀ progress in real-time (e.g.,Ā grantsĀ management system,Ā internalĀ file share, etc.)Ā
- Coordinate and/or support all pre-award activities associated with grantmaking, including (but not limited to) program launch application submission, peer review, and publicĀ announcement(s) of funding decisionsĀ
- Develop andĀ maintainĀ a strong working knowledge of the Foundationās StrategicĀ ResearchĀ Agenda and related programs/respectiveĀ portfoliosĀ
- Coordinate and manage the Foundationās committees, working groups, and multi-partner consortia by working closely with internal and externalĀ stakeholdersĀ to developĀ agendas, coordinateĀ logistics, prepare materials for discussions,Ā circulateminutes, chair meetings as needed, and support execution of follow-up items/next stepsĀ
- Proactively communicate the Foundationās processes and procedures to grantees, applicants, and other external stakeholdersĀ
- LiaiseĀ with internalĀ and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational management of research grants and projectsĀ
- Serve as educator, trainer, and partner for new hires and existingĀ colleaguesĀ
- Routinely review and recommend best practices to improve workflow and systems efficiencyĀ
- Contribute to operational planning discussions and annual planning processesĀ

Qualifications andĀ Skills:Ā Ā
- Knowledge of grants management and managing a diverse grant portfolioĀ Ā
- Knowledge of project management, operations, grants administration or combination thereofĀ Ā
- Knowledge of grant management systems, comfortable utilizing multiple communication/collaboration tools platforms, and project management software applicationsĀ Ā
- Excellent time and meeting management skills, ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projectsĀ simultaneouslyĀ Ā
- ExhibitĀ exceptional attention to detail, considering how each detail contributes to theĀ broaderĀ pictureĀ
- Strong interpersonalĀ and stakeholder managementĀ skillsĀ
- Demonstrate the capability to work efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively as a valuable team member, including reporting to cross-functional managersĀ
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsĀ
- Willingness toĀ adaptĀ when necessary, comfortable with ambiguity and flexible to changing business dynamics and prioritiesĀ Ā
- Proficient with MS Office and other related toolsĀ
