Overview

We are seeking a Group Head, Content Planning who will be responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of local and regional digital content campaigns for WPP Media. This role requires a highly organized, commercially minded, and self-driven individual who can guide campaign direction, ensure seamless delivery, and drive measurable results against client KPIs. Strong leadership, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a proactive mindset are essential to the success of our digital content initiatives.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Include

1. Content Planning & Strategy

Lead the planning and strategic development of local and regional digital content campaigns to ensure they meet business objectives and client KPIs. Continuously identify opportunities to enhance campaign impact, efficiency, and effectiveness.

2. Stakeholder Leadership

Partner with brand teams, agency planners, content creators, digital publishers, media vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth campaign planning and implementation.

3. Project Leadership

Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Proactively identify and resolve issues throughout the campaign lifecycle to maintain smooth operations. Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks of all content and materials before publication. Utilize digital tools and platforms for campaign planning, performance tracking, and reporting.

4. Performance Analysis

Monitor and analyze campaign performance data, turning insights into actionable recommendations for optimization and future planning.

5. Reporting

Prepare clear and detailed campaign reports for clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, campaign successes, learnings, and areas for improvement.

6. Trend Monitoring

Stay ahead of the latest trends in digital, social media, and influencer marketing, applying market insights to strengthen content planning and campaign performance.

7. Influencer Relations

Identify, recruit, and manage influencer relationships to extend campaign reach, relevance, and engagement.

8. Team Leadership

Support and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge, best practices, and direction to help strengthen the overall content planning function.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 8 - 10 years of experience in digital marketing, with strong experience in content planning, social media, and influencer marketing.
  • Digital Savvy: Strong understanding of social media and active usage of digital and social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Lemon8, Telegram, Xiaohongshu, and YouTube.
  • Strategic Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple workstreams and coordinate effectively with agencies, publishers, and internal teams to meet campaign objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership: Strong collaborative spirit, with the ability to lead by example, motivate others, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to Detail:  Strong attention to detail with a process-driven mindset, excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to different tools and platforms.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently, take ownership of workstreams, and drive campaign objectives forward with minimal supervision.
