Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our House Supervisor (Administrative Nursing Supervisor), you will help guide and empower our entire nursing team across various departments so they can deliver exceptional, patient-centered care through continuous growth and operational excellence, ensuring seamless hospital-wide patient flow and safety.
Every day you will supervise and coordinate activities of nursing personnel across all patient care units, plan the work of assigned units and meticulously coordinate activities with other related departments, and comprehensively organize and oversee patient care delivery during your entire assigned shift. You will be expected to provide input to employee performance and assist in the coaching of staff members, proactively provide direct nursing care to patients on an as-needed basis during critical situations or staffing shortages, and maintain clear and empathetic communication with patients and family members regarding their care needs and hospital operations.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical acumen and leadership presence to navigate diverse unit challenges, demonstrate exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure, and exhibit superior communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration and manage complex situations across the hospital.
- Organizes and oversees patient care delivery during an assigned shift. Monitors and assesses the current environment for smooth hospital operations.
- Assesses and allocates resources as needed. Provides input to employee performance. Assists in the coaching of staff members.
- Documents daily staffing and administrative records and maintains compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff.
- Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintains communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN)
- Current CA RN licensure
- Current American Heart Association BLS
