Your Mission in Action
The Housekeeper is responsible for carrying out cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the facility to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for both children and staff. The primary goal is to uphold a welcoming and well-maintained atmosphere for children, families, and staff alike.Â
Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash receptacles, polishing furniture/fixtures, etc.Â
- Clean and sanitize common areas, restrooms, windows, walls, carpets, etc.Â
- Spot clean and maintain resident and common areas as neededÂ
- Clean and store all equipment and suppliesÂ
- Provide general cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment as neededÂ
- Ensure the environment is free of hazardous chemicals/products and kept safe for residents and staffÂ
- Perform all cleaning duties using the proper supplies, equipment, and chemicalsÂ
- Report all accidents and incidents to Facilities Manager in a timely mannerÂ
- Notify Facilities Manager regarding the need for major facility/building issuesÂ
- Other duties and projects as assigned Â
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of ageÂ
- Six (6) months of housekeeping or janitorial experienceÂ
- Ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks and unplanned requests during shift Â
- Good time management and organizational skills with the ability to complete multiple tasksÂ
- Strong people and interpersonal skills with the ability to work diverse groups of people Â
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (based on service populations and area)Â
- One (1) year housekeeping or janitorial experienceÂ
