About this role

We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive the evolution of software development at Asana. You'll lead programs spanning developer productivity, AI adoption, framework migration, and quality, partnering with teams across R&D to understand pain points and rollout solutions. This role combines technical depth in areas like software design, AI, system architecture, design systems with strong collaboration skills to orchestrate work across Engineering, Design, and Product teams. Your work ensures our software development team can leverage the best in AI development tooling, pushing the boundaries on development velocity while maintaining the intuitive, delightful experiences that make our product special.

This role will be based in our New York City office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve:

  • Lead engineering programs including AI development tooling adoption, frameworks migrations, technical and product quality, and delivery capabilities that enable our R&D teams to continuously improve our product for our customers
  • Partner across R&D teams to translate engineering and R&D pain points into development tooling plans, facilitate technical decisions, and build alignment between Developer Productivity, Infrastructure, and Product Engineering.
  • Create visibility and accountability by managing developer productivity metrics and presenting them to critical stakeholders in Engineering Leadership and on the Executive Team
  • Collaborate with TPMs across Security and Infrastructure to identify opportunities and risks, coordinating resources, and ensuring Developer Productivity teams can execute effectively toward shared goals.

About you:

  • 8+ years leading technical programs in B2B SaaS, with experience coordinating complex engineering initiatives across organizations.
  • Technically fluent in software design, system architecture, and security - you engage confidently in technical discussions and evaluate trade-offs effectively.
  • Excellent collaborator and communicator who builds trust within and beyond Engineering, adapt your style for different audiences, and facilitate decision-making in ambiguous situations.
  • Customer-focused with experience translating enterprise customer needs into program plans and working closely with strategic accounts to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $194,000 - $246,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
