Associate, Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Appnovation, you will partner directly with clients and cross-functional teams to define, shape, and deliver high-impact digital products. Sitting at the center of product definition, you will connect business goals, user needs, experience design, and technical realities—ensuring teams are building the right solutions in the right way.

Working closely with project stakeholders, you will define the business requirements and functional specifications on each project. Excellence in customer service along with a dedicated proactive attitude is an essential component of this role. Our goal is to achieve a true balance between quality, client satisfaction, efficiency, success, and profitability.

YOU WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Help translate business and user needs into product documentation — user stories, flows, process maps, and requirements
• Draft simpler user stories and acceptance criteria for defined product needs
• Contribute to backlog preparation and sprint readiness activities on active product engagements
• Assist with customer experience and journey mapping work that shapes product direction
• Contribute to service design, transformation planning, and strategy engagements under the guidance of senior practitioners
• Support discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews — building your presence and facilitation skills
• Support research and synthesis activities that inform product and strategic decisions
• Use AI tools to improve the speed and quality of your research, synthesis, and documentation — and start exploring how AI can support ideation and early prototyping
• Build familiarity with the full range of frameworks used across product management, CX, service design, and strategy
• Seek feedback actively, iterate on your work, and push to raise the quality of what you produce

WHO YOU ARE:

• 1–3 years of experience in product management, business analysis, strategy consulting, customer experience, or a related field
• Ability to structure information clearly and produce documentation that others can act on
• An emerging ability to connect product decisions to strategic context — understanding why the work matters
• Some familiarity with user stories, requirements, or process documentation
• Curiosity that doesn't stop — you want to understand how and why, not just what
• A drive to learn fast and a hunger to do better every time
• Comfort with digital collaboration tools (Miro, Figma, Jira, Confluence, or similar)
• Real enthusiasm for using AI to improve research, synthesis, and creative output
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese and a collaborative working style
