About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst – Data Quality & Governance to supplement the product function by owning detailed requirement elicitation and documentation for data quality rules, reconciliation workflows, thresholds, trust signals, and FinOps telemetry. In this role, you will partner closely with product, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex operational, financial, and governance needs into clear, actionable requirements.
This position plays a critical role in enabling enterprise-grade execution as our platforms evolve with increasingly complex reconciliation logic, SLA expectations, governance requirements, and cost attribution models. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, structured documentation practices, and the ability to reduce sprint churn, clarifications, and rework by driving alignment across cross-functional global teams.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.
Your day to day:
- Partner with Data Quality and Telemetry Sr. Product Owner, engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Data Quality capabilities
- Own detailed requirement documentation for data quality rules, reconciliation workflows, exception handling, thresholds, and trust signal generation
- Translate business, financial, and operational needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and engineering-ready specifications
- Work closely with engineering to support solution design and implementation for Data Quality monitoring, SLA visibility, and FinOps telemetry
- Drive stakeholder alignment by clarifying requirements, managing scope changes, and ensuring shared understanding across teams
- Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and delivery execution to reduce churn, minimize clarifications, and prevent avoidable rework
- Validate delivered capabilities through functional testing, data validation, reconciliation review, and stakeholder feedback
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, enabling Product to remain focused on strategy, prioritization, and roadmap evolution
What you bring to the team:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (master's preferred but not required)
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in data platforms, analytics, operations, FinOps, or enterprise software environments
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, and refining complex business and functional requirements
- Solid understanding of data quality concepts such as reconciliation processes, exception handling, thresholds, and SLA-driven operational workflows and having a governance structure around it
- Ability to translate business, financial, and operational needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, resolve ambiguity, and manage requirement or scope changes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working in Agile environments with distributed or global teams
- Ability to operate with ownership, structure, and consistency in fast-moving delivery environments
What we would like to see, but not required:
- Experience with data quality monitoring frameworks, reconciliation tooling, or operational reporting platforms
- Familiarity with SQL, data querying, dashboards, or telemetry/reporting concepts
- Exposure to FinOps, cost attribution, chargeback models, or platform governance workflows (good to have)

Work arrangements:
- Standard hours: 9 hours/day, 5 days/week
- Location: Pune, Hybrid (3 days a week in office)
- Shift: Your standard working hours will be nine (9) hours per day within the Company’s standard working hours. Specific working hours may vary based on business needs.
