Senior Solutions Engineer, iPaaS

Location: United States (Remote – Mountain or Central Time Zones)

Compensation: $201K - $251K OTE (Inclusive of commission)

The Role: Strategic Lead for Enterprise Connectivity

At Boomi, we aim to make the world a better place by connecting everyone to everything, anywhere. We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer with deep expertise in iPaaS and Hybrid Integration to lead our most complex technical engagements in North America.

In this strategic role, you will act as a lead technical advisor, helping enterprise clients modernize legacy middleware and orchestrate complex, multi-cloud environments. You will define the connectivity vision—ensuring that data flows seamlessly and securely across the global enterprise using the full breadth of the Boomi platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Architecture & Design: Lead the design of end-to-end integration strategies, incorporating App Integration, EDI, and Managed File Transfer (MFT) patterns to solve complex business challenges.
  • Real-Time Orchestration: Serve as the technical lead for high-performance messaging architectures, leveraging Event Streams to enable event-driven business processes and real-time data distribution.
  • Enterprise Ecosystem Integration: Design specialized connectivity solutions for complex landscapes, including Hybrid-Cloud and Multi-Cloud environments, ensuring interoperability between core systems of record and best-of-breed SaaS applications.
  • Consultative Discovery: Partner with Account Executives to determine customer needs, understand the technical landscape, and identify pain points via deep-dive discovery sessions.
  • Technical Validation Leadership: Direct the execution of high-stakes Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and deliver authoritative presentations that verify the operability of sophisticated product configurations.
  • Win-Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal specialists and stakeholders to build the “win team,” providing technical expertise for RFI/RFP completion and detailed product specifications.

Professional Qualifications

  • iPaaS & Middleware Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience in enterprise integration patterns, including synchronous/asynchronous messaging and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Messaging & Event Infrastructure: Deep technical proficiency in event-driven architectures (EDA) using tools such as Event Streams, Solace, Kafka, Lavender, or RabbitMQ.
  • B2B & File Governance: Advanced knowledge of EDI standards and secure Managed File Transfer (MFT) protocols.
  • Architectural Depth: Proven ability to design solutions incorporating Hybrid-Cloud connectivity, legacy modernization, and distributed microservices orchestration.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to present to executive-level audiences, bridging the gap between technical complexity and strategic business outcomes.

Preferred Skills & Technical Credentials

  • Cloud & APIM Platforms: Advanced proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP ecosystems and enterprise API suites (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee, or Kong).
  • Professional Certifications: Industry credentials in Cloud Architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), Information Security (CISSP/CCSP), or Enterprise Frameworks (TOGAF).
  • Governance & Emerging Tech: Expertise in API Lifecycle Management and the security/orchestration of AI-driven APIs and LLMs.

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  The On Target Earnings (OTE) for this role are $201K - $251K (inclusive of commission).
