About this role

Do you want to change how the world creates?

At Formlabs, we’re building the tools that make it possible for anyone to bring their ideas to life, from cutting-edge products to life-saving medical devices. Our 3D printing technology powers innovation at more than 50,000 industry leaders worldwide, including Apple, Google, Tesla, New Balance, and NASA. Together, we’re helping everyone design, prototype, and manufacture faster than ever before.

We’re a team of hands-on builders, engineers, and innovators reinventing how the world makes physical things. If you’re ready to shape the future of fabrication, come build it with us.

The Job:

  • Build and continuously improve the TPM framework within the team, with the primary goal of shipping the best product as quickly as possible.
  • Define and drive strategy, master planning, execution, and delivery for technically complex products — from concept through production.
  • Act as the interface between global headquarters, local China teams, and suppliers to drive progress and ensure timely cross-team communication.
  • Own project budgets, including headcount planning, establish and continuously optimize product cost models for assigned projects, and take responsibility for meeting target costs.
  • Serve as the critical link between project teams and decision-makers — frequently update company leadership on progress and drive cross-functional collaboration, especially through key milestones and critical project risks.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with R&D and manufacturing leadership — continuously monitor project progress, assess status, and proactively resolve issues as they arise.

You:

  • Deep understanding of the hardware product development lifecycle and problem-solving processes — with the ability to apply technical knowledge to drive decision-making, including trade-off discussions and project strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical programs, with demonstrated experience in building and owning program management processes. R&D background is a strong plus.
  • Fluent in English as a working language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English — non-negotiable.
  • Business-minded — experienced in building and controlling project cost models, with the ability to break down and track project progress from a financial perspective.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills — passionate about continuously improving project efficiency, proactive, self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
  • Able to work cross-functionally across product, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams — equally effective as a program manager and as an outstanding individual contributor.
  • Proven experience creating and implementing program management tools and processes, including communications, scheduling, risk management, resource planning, cost tracking, and production planning.

Bonus Skills:

  • Passion for 3D printing and emerging technologies
  • Experience in rapidly-growing startup environments

We Offer:

  • An inclusive, dog-friendly office with diverse and inspiring colleagues
  • Shares in the company (we’re a Unicorn company)
  • Development opportunities both in-house and off-site
  • Unlimited 3D prints
  • Fun team events

Perks are subject to adjustments and may vary from team to team.
