Part-Time Barista at Hill House Home

Hill House is seeking a Part-Time Barista at our Charleston store to become a pivotal part of our Hill House family. In this role, you'll serve not only as a brand ambassador but also as a key player in building relationships, both internally and externally, to cultivate an unparalleled service culture.  We are looking for a warm, professional, and dynamic associate to help drive our café’s sales performance and help ensure operational excellence, by assisting the Café Manager.

What You'll Do:

Drive Excellence in Sales & Service:

    • Active role in engaging with clients, ensuring the highest level of service is provided and client experience goals are met.
    • Greeting customers in a friendly manner
    • Answer customer questions regarding menu choices.
    • Promote and recommend menu items.

Operations:

    • Assist in the smooth running of cafe operations, adhering to policies and procedures, and maintaining operational standards to meet brand standards continually.
    • Assist in managing inventory effectively, ensuring stock levels are aligned with sales goals.
    • Assist in maintaining equipment – espresso machine, coffee brewer, coffee grinder, etc

Who you are:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant setting
  • Experience performing in a fast-paced environment with fastidious attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional communication and a motivational attitude
  • High degree of flexibility and initiative
  • Embraces a culture of learning and advocacy.
  • Has lived experiences with people from different backgrounds and diverse teams.
  • Flexibility to work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Hourly Rate: $20+/Hr
