We are seeking an empathetic systems thinker to collaborate with a talented team on researching and developing new features, products, and scalable service architectures.

This role focuses on building high-impact, customer-facing functionality that serves as the core of our user experience.

As this is an R&D environment, our technology stack is intentionally flexible; however, our current technical direction leans towards Java and relational databases, with an eye toward event-driven architecture using streaming integrations like Kafka.

  • Use Jira, Slack, and Zoom to maintain high transparency and communicate effectively with your team and leadership.

What we’re looking for

  • Great communicator and outstanding team player. Bias towards over-communicating and asking questions.
  • Desire to be part of a team, be a part of the culture and contribute, seeking the best outcome for the team.
  • Curious and intentional about self-development.
  • Proficient in multiple programming languages, software development frameworks, and tools.
  • Expertise in system architecture and design patterns.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile methods and associated principles.
  • RDBMS experience.
  • Ability to design and implement the right technical solution for the right problem at the right time.
  • Strong focus on delivering quality results early and often.
