The Cost & Inventory Specialist sits at the intersection of Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations, helping Tenstorrent understand exactly what it costs to build some of the most advanced AI hardware in the world. This role owns product cost forecasting and inventory analytics across chips, boards, systems, and clusters, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to improve gross margin, production planning, and supply chain resiliency.

This role is hybrid, based out of Toronto, ON.

Who You Are

  • Brings 5+ years of experience in FP&A, cost accounting, operations finance, or supply chain finance, ideally within semiconductors, hardware, or manufacturing.
  • Understands semiconductor cost drivers, including wafer fabrication, packaging, assembly, test, and logistics.
  • Builds robust financial models and translates complex operational data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys creating scalable processes from the ground up.

 

What We Need

  • Build and maintain product cost forecasts, standard costs, BOM roll-ups, and should-cost models across chips, boards, systems, clusters, and software-enabled offerings.
  • Analyze actual versus forecast costs, identify key drivers, and partner with Supply Chain to uncover cost reduction opportunities.
  • Forecast and report on inventory metrics such as turns, aging, reserves, NCNR exposure, and purchase commitments.
  • Serve as the Finance partner to Supply Chain and Operations, delivering insights that improve production planning, margin, and supply chain resilience.

Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
