Overview:
We are hiring a trade desk support engineer to join our IT department to handle L1 thru L3 level support of service requests/incidents in a professional and timely manner. Customer service and production support are the most important aspects of this role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and alerting of critical trading system environments
- Proactive identification and resolution of production issues
- Development of tools and driving efficiency/stability improvements/ automation with scripting
- Troubleshooting and resolution of complex systems issues
- Production Deployments of all infrastructure components
- Off hours pager support on a rotating schedule
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of UNIX environment/Unix commands
- Database knowledge with sql - MySQL, InfluxDB
- Strong scripting knowledge - Python/Bash
- Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Ability to switch and track various ongoing tasks and issues is required
- Attention to detail in problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure within a dynamic trading environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred:
- Experience using Jira as a ticket/work request system
- Experience using Grafana/InfluxDB/Icinga
- Linux desktop support experience
- Experience with version control systems such as git/puppet
- Network troubleshooting and analysis experience

The range below reflects the expected base salary for this position. It represents a good-faith estimate of the base pay we anticipate offering, with actual compensation determined by your experience, education, skills, and performance throughout the interview process. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus (at DV Trading's discretion) and DV Trading's benefits package, including the benefits listed above.
