About the Position
The Powder Coat Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts using powder coating techniques. This role ensures high-quality finishes that meet company standards and customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Night shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare metal surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and curing ovens.
- Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to achieve desired finish and thickness.
- Inspect coated parts for quality, ensuring adherence to specifications and correcting defects.
- Maintain and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Track and report production data, including material usage and job completion times.
- Assist in troubleshooting coating issues and recommend process improvements.
Qualification Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred.
- Knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
