Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online Retail / Delivery organisation, is looking for a highly talented Mechanical Engineering Intern: Site & Services to join our team in Johannesburg Distribution Centre. The Internship Program will be split between all businesses within the Group, namely: Takealot.com, TFS and Mr. D

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

N6 Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Computer Literacy

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Data analysis skills (Excel, Power BI, SQL advantageous)
  • Understanding of supply chain, operations, and production processes
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Inventory management of spares and tools
  • Help Technicians maintain all the mechanical and electrical equipment in and around the DC
  • Report on unsafe act and housekeeping
  • Data analysis skills 
  • Understanding of supply chain, operations, and production processes

This is a 12-month contract position.
