Position: Director of Technology

Overall Summary of the role:
Our Director of Technology is a pivotal role responsible for leading Customer Experience Platform, Technology, Data and Delivery teams and their deployment in designing, building and operating client solutions. This position ensures brilliant solution architecture, seamless system integration, and effortless collaboration with client stakeholders while guiding technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Additionally, the role partners closely with the Managing Director and Business Leads to drive technology, data business opportunities, achieving revenue and growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Direction,Solution Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise technology solutions that address strategic business needs.
- Define solution architectures, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Align solutions with enterprise architecture standards, principles, and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and provide actionable recommendations for adoption.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with Key clients, and vendors to identify and prioritize requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and solution designs.
- Effectively communicate solution options, impacts, and benefits to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project & DeliveryOrganisation& Oversight
- Oversee the end-to-end solution delivery lifecycle, from estimation through development to deployment.
- Manage cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure solutions meet agreed-upon service levels and client satisfaction metrics.
- Integration & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure seamless integration between various enterprise platforms and applications.
- Drive system and process optimization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and champion continuous improvement practices.
- Build and nurture relationships with partner networks, driving lead qualification and revenue generation.
- Proactively engage in lead generation, pipeline building, and account-based marketing campaigns in collaboration with client engagement team.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure solutions adhere to organizational IT governance frameworks and best practices.
- Maintain compliance with data protection regulations, industry standards, and security protocols.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Optimize team structure and processes to ensure maximum efficiency and output.
- Identify and develop top-performing team members, assigning them to projects that align with their strengths and career aspirations.
- Foster a positive, solutions-oriented team culture by addressing challenges professionally and collaboratively.
- Build and lead a high-performance team, providing coaching, development opportunities, and ongoing support.
- Business Development & Management
- Partner with Client engagement and Business Leads to identify and acquire new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with Technology, data and platform engineering revenue targets.
- Develop sales proposals, pitch presentations, and commercial strategies tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through relationships with client account leads, partner sales channels, and new business teams.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in IT solution design, architecture, or enterprise system leadership.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale technology projects and transformations in complex organizations.
- Experience managing teams of 30+ members, including direct and indirect reports.
- Demonstrated success in marketing agencies, consultancies, or technology product companies, including pitching, responding to RFI/RFPs, and driving sales and growth.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in enterprise platforms (e.g. CXP, CMS, CRM, Loyalty & Commerce use cases).
- Proficiency in solution architecture methodologies and integration frameworks.
- In-depth understanding of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and data governance.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels, including CMOs, COOs, CIOs, and CTOs, tailoring communication to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.

- Timely Delivery: Ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, meeting agreed-upon quality standards.
- Strategic Alignment: Demonstrate alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture standards and strategic business objectives.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieve high stakeholder satisfaction scores through 360° feedback from internal teams and clients.
- Operational Efficiency: Drive measurable reductions in operational inefficiencies through optimized systems and processes.
- Business Growth: Collaborate with the VML business leads to identify, secure, and deliver new business opportunities, contributing to CX/Tech/Data revenue and growth targets.
