Who We Are Looking For
At VML, a WPP company, we are looking for a Senior Copywriter who believes the best brand stories are rooted in human truths. You will craft compelling, inclusive narratives that connect with audiences on a deeper level, turning complex business challenges into clear, resonant creative solutions. In this role, you will partner closely with a Senior Art Director, strategists, and clients to shape the voice of global brands on a highly visible, social-first account. You will ensure every word drives meaningful impact, captures the fast-paced nature of social media, and reflects our Human First values.
What You Will Do
- Drive Creative Vision: Lead the conceptualization and writing of integrated campaigns with a heavy emphasis on social-first execution, ensuring brand voice is consistent and compelling across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and emerging platforms.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with art directors, designers, and strategists to build cohesive creative platforms that solve client challenges and elevate the audience experience.
- Master Platform-Native Formats: Craft engaging captions, video scripts, short-form copy, and socially optimized calls-to-action that align with the unique tone and content conventions of each social channel.
- Present with Purpose: Articulate the strategic why behind your creative choices, confidently sharing ideas with internal teams and client partners to build trust and alignment.
- Mentor and Guide: Provide constructive, actionable feedback to junior writers and creatives, fostering an environment where craft and conceptual thinking can thrive.
- Champion Inclusivity: Ensure all copy and messaging is accessible, culturally resonant, and free of bias, reflecting a deep understanding of diverse audiences.

What You Will Need
- REQUIRED: Proven experience writing for social-first campaigns and a deep understanding of major social platforms including Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
- A robust portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and polished copywriting across multiple platforms and formats, with a strong showcase of social media work.
- Proven experience leading creative projects from initial briefing through to final production and delivery.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate creative rationale to stakeholders and clients.
- A deep understanding of how to adapt tone and voice for different brands, audiences, and digital channels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a genuine passion for mentoring emerging creative talent.
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
