Title: Provider Productivity and Performance Analyst

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer, Clinical Enterprise

 Position Objective:

This position provides advanced analytical support focused on physician and advanced practice provider productivity, compensation model administration and medical group performance. The role conducts complex analyses related to wRVU productivity, benchmarking, compensation reconciliation and regulatory alignment while partnering closely with medical group and clinical enterprise leadership. This position supports data-driven decision-making to optimize provider performance, ensure compensation integrity and compliance and advance the strategic and operational goals of the clinical enterprise.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Provides analysis and recommendations regarding provider compensation structures and incentive plans with a focus on improving consistency, reducing organizational risk and simplifying processes where appropriate.  
  2. Participates in and supports the COO with the Physician Compensation Committee (PCC) providing recommendations and further insight to support the Committee’s decision-making process.
  3. Interprets and analyzes compensation terms outlined in Provider Employment Agreements and Professional Services Agreements to ensure accurate implementation and administration.  
  4. Provides analytical support for Fair Market Valuation processes and helps ensure compensation arrangements align with regulatory requirements and organizational guidelines.  
  5. Partners with service line and medical group leadership to conduct comprehensive and complex analysis related to provider compensation and productivity.
  6. Oversees the preparation, validation and distribution of quarterly compensation reconciliations in accordance with employment agreements.
  7. Collaborates with external valuation firms and consultants to support data collection, analysis and documentation for Fair Market Value and Commercial Reasonableness reviews.
  8. Monitors and analyzes trends in provider compensation and productivity using industry sources such as AMGA, MGMA and Sullivan Cotter as well regional and peer medical group market data.
  9. Develops and delivers clear, accurate and timely reports and dashboards to support medical group and service line leadership decision making. 
  10. Provides analytical support and compensation related inputs to the annual clinical enterprise budget process.

 

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in provider productivity analysis, physician compensation administration or medical group financial analytics.
  • Experience working with physician compensation benchmarking sources (e.g. MGMA, AMGA, Sullivan Cotter) preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong financial and data analysis skills required.
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

$100,000$128,066 USD
