Your Role

As a Tech Lead .NET (Azure) at PALO IT, you will be instrumental in leading and overseeing the development of high-quality, scalable, and secure .NET applications on the Azure cloud platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guiding technical direction and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of .NET applications leveraging Azure services and solutions.
• Mentor and develop a team of engineers, promoting agile methodologies and best practices for software development.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Drive architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with industry standards.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence through knowledge sharing, pair programming, and active participation in team discussions.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the .NET and Azure landscape, integrating relevant advancements into our development practices.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on .NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework).
• Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure, including but not limited to Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure DevOps, and Azure SQL Database.
• Proficient in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Passionate about clean code, mentoring, and fostering collaborative team environments.
• Experience leading software development teams and driving successful project outcomes.

AI-Native Engineering (Core Expectation) 

• Use Generative AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as a first-class engineering assistant for: 
• Code scaffolding and refactoring
• Code generation and optimisation
• Test-cases and documentation generation
• Build applications through AI-driven development practices, including: 
• AI-assisted debugging and troubleshooting
• Intelligent code completion and pattern recognition
• Automated documentation generation
• Apply prompt engineering best practices for reliable, repeatable engineering outcomes.
• Validate GenAI output (determinism checks, guardrails, fallback logic).
