Position Summary:
Medsien is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to manage billing operations and ensure accurate, timely submission and processing of claims. This role will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance with industry standards, resolve billing issues, and uphold excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

The Billing Specialist will manage the accurate and timely submission of claims, resolve billing issues, and ensure compliance with regulations. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to streamline workflows, analyze billing performance, and provide insights for improvement. Additionally, the specialist will handle customer and payer communications, maintain organized documentation, and stay updated on industry changes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes, including CPT, ICD-10 coding, and insurance claims.
• Proficiency in billing software and EHR systems (experience with athenahealth and Veradigm is a plus).
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

 Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience  in billing and claim management.
• Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (e.g., CPC, CCA) a plus.
• Experience with billing for Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) services.
• Athena experience required.
