We’re looking for a UX Designer to join our desktop products team. We need someone who can understand the product, find weak points and UX problems, and work on improvements with the team. The role is focused on improving professional tools for developers, analysts, and database engineers, with a strong emphasis on complex workflows, usability, and desktop-first experience. 

We love well-structured processes and live in a work-life balance mode.

Location: This role can be based either remotely in Europe or hybrid in our offices in Belgrade, Serbia, or Budapest, Hungary

What You’ll Do:

  • Design UX flows and interfaces for DBeaver desktop products
  • Analyze existing functionality and find weak points in the user experience 
  • Work closely with developer team and product managers
  • Improve usability of technically complex workflows
  • Participate in product discovery and feature planning
  • Conduct UX research and collect feedback from technical users
  • Maintain consistency across desktop product experiences

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
  • Strong experience designing desktop applications or working on complex technical products 
  • Technical background: technical education, programming experience, SQL knowledge, or experience working with data 
  • Experience collaborating closely with developer team
  • Strong analytical thinking and UX research skills
  • Ability to find UX problems in existing products and suggest practical improvements 
  • Ability to simplify complex functionality into intuitive user experiences
  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces such as tables, editors, dashboards, or admin tools
  • Strong analytical thinking and UX research skills
  • Knowledge of English (B2 level) 

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with developer tools, IDEs, database tools, or SQL-related products
  • Understanding of desktop UX patterns and cross-platform applications
  • Experience conducting usability testing with technical audiences
  • Experience contributing to open-source products
