WHAT YOU'LL DO?

We are looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Manager to lead delivery across a growing portfolio of complex infrastructure programs across APAC and globally.

Optiver’s Infrastructure group sits within Platform Engineering and underpins our trading environment across data centres, networks, compute & storage platforms, infrastructure services, cloud services and production systems. The work is broad, technical and fast-paced: building and improving the infrastructure that supports a globally distributed trading environment where reliability, execution quality, operational resilience, and speed of delivery all matter.

This is not a traditional project management role. We are looking for someone who has built or operated infrastructure themselves before moving into delivery leadership. You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you do need the engineering judgement and credibility to partner with senior engineers, challenge assumptions, understand dependencies, surface trade-offs, and help teams make good decisions under uncertainty.

As Infrastructure Delivery Manager, you will bring structure, momentum, and technical judgement to a complex portfolio of infrastructure work. You will work closely with engineering leads, infrastructure teams, vendors, data centre operators, connectivity partners, and regional stakeholders to ensure critical infrastructure programs land with the quality and reliability our trading environment demands.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead delivery across complex infrastructure programs spanning data centres, networks, compute & storage platforms, infrastructure services, cloud services and production systems.

  • Partner with senior engineers and technical leads to shape delivery plans, sequence work, understand dependencies, surface risks, and make trade-offs visible.

  • Use your infrastructure experience to help teams balance speed, quality, reliability, operational risk, and long-term maintainability.

  • Build strong relationships with vendors, data centre operators, connectivity providers, and internal stakeholders to influence scope, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.

  • Drive clarity and accountability across complex programs, ensuring priorities, decision points, blockers, risks, and expected outcomes are well understood.

  • Improve post-incident management processes, ensuring remediation work is prioritised appropriately and operational learnings become durable improvements.

  • Reinforce a culture of quality delivery and outcomes over process, improving how Infrastructure plans, sequences, communicates, and executes work as the portfolio scales.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

You are a technical delivery leader with a background in infrastructure engineering. You may have started in networks, systems, data centre infrastructure, platform services, infrastructure operations, or another hands-on engineering discipline before moving into delivery leadership.

You are effective because you understand infrastructure delivery from the ground up. You know what it means to operate critical systems, manage dependencies, make pragmatic trade-offs, and keep work moving when the path is ambiguous. You bring structure without unnecessary process, and you influence senior engineers through judgement, credibility, and collaboration.

You will bring:

  • Strong experience in infrastructure engineering, infrastructure operations, platform engineering, network engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.

  • Experience leading delivery across complex technical infrastructure programs, ideally in environments where reliability, operational resilience, and execution quality are critical.

  • The technical judgement to understand dependencies, challenge assumptions, assess trade-offs, and support good decision-making under uncertainty.

  • Experience working with senior engineers, technical leads, vendors, and stakeholders to turn ambiguous infrastructure problems into executable delivery plans.

  • A pragmatic approach to delivery practices, improving throughput, clarity, and accountability without introducing unnecessary overhead.

  • A self-directed operating style, with the ability to take ownership, create momentum, and maintain progress in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience delivering infrastructure in large-scale, low-latency, financial services, trading is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • A performance-based bonus structure unmatched anywhere in the industry. We combine our profits across desks, teams and offices into a global profit pool, fostering a truly collaborative environment.

  • The chance to work alongside diverse and intelligent peers in a rewarding environment.

  • Training, mentorship and personal development opportunities.

  • Daily breakfast, lunch and an in-house barista.

  • Gym membership plus weekly in-house chair massages.

  • Regular social events, including a company trip every two years.

  • Guided relocation, a competitive relocation package and visa sponsorship where necessary.

DIVERSITY STATEMENT

Optiver is committed to  diversity and inclusion. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, and welcome requests for reasonable adjustments during the process.
