Experienced Software Engineer - OSIT

About The Position

One of our operating companies, OSIT, is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join their team in Osborne Park, Perth.

This is a hands-on Software Engineering role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and enjoys working across a wide variety of applications, integrations and technologies. Unlike traditional software roles focused on a single platform or product, this position requires experience working across multiple applications and systems simultaneously.

At OSIT, you will be involved in building new applications, modernising legacy systems, maintaining and improving an existing suite of internal applications and contributing to strategic development projects. 
You will also play a key role in mentoring junior developers, driving architectural decisions, and improving engineering standards across the business.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, technically strong, proactive and comfortable shifting between projects in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

 Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET applications and integrations
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services using C# and .NET
• Design and improve application architecture and software design patterns
• Work across a diverse portfolio of internal and client-facing applications
• Upgrade and modernise monolithic applications and legacy codebases
• Develop and maintain React and Blazor applications
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
• Work with Azure cloud infrastructure and related services
• Assist with troubleshooting, support, and bug fixing across multiple systems
• Contribute to project work involving application upgrades and platform improvements
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across development processes and tooling

Skills required

Must Have

• Strong experience with .NET Framework / .NET Core and C#
• Proven experience building and maintaining APIs
• Strong Azure experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong application design and software architecture skills
• Experience working across multiple applications and systems simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced MSP environment
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior developers

Desirable

• Kubernetes experience
• GitHub and GitHub Actions experience
• Experience with micro-segmentation builds
• React and/or Blazor development experience
• MSP industry experience
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
