Role overview
Coupang’s Catalog organization is looking for a strategic, data-driven, and execution-oriented Program Manager within the Selection and Listing team. This team owns critical capabilities that enable selection growth and high-quality product listing creation across Coupang marketplace.
The Selection and Listing team builds and optimizes the systems, workflows, and operational mechanisms that help sellers create, manage, and improve product listings at scale. The team plays a key role in expanding customer selection, improving listing quality, reducing friction in catalog creation, and ensuring that products are discoverable, accurate, compliant, and ready for customer purchase.
This role will focus on driving data-driven improvements across selection onboarding, listing creation, catalog quality, tool adoption, and operational efficiency. The Program Manager will work closely with product, engineering, data science, operations, business, seller-facing teams, and Catalog stakeholders to identify opportunities, define requirements, launch scalable solutions, and measure business impact.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, translating complex operational and technical problems into clear programs, and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver measurable improvements. This role requires strong analytical thinking, structured program management, stakeholder communication, and a deep customer- and seller-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
Drive programs that improve selection growth, listing quality, catalog creation efficiency, and tool adoption across Coupang’s listing ecosystem.
Identify opportunities from seller behavior, internal user feedback, operational pain points, listing funnel metrics, and customer-facing catalog quality signals.
Partner with product, engineering, data science, and operations teams to define business requirements for listing tools, selection onboarding workflows, catalog automation, and AI-enabled tooling.
Own end-to-end program execution, including problem definition, goal setting, roadmap alignment, stakeholder management, launch planning, risk management, and post-launch measurement.
Develop mechanisms to improve listing creation success rates, reduce manual effort, prevent catalog defects, and increase speed-to-market for new selection.
Analyze data to identify bottlenecks in listing workflows, tool usability issues, quality gaps, seller friction points, and opportunities for automation.
Create and maintain standards, operating mechanisms, and best practices for selection and listing-related processes.
Work with seller-facing, retail, marketplace, search, compliance, catalog quality, and operations teams to improve the end-to-end product listing experience.
Drive adoption of new tools and processes by developing rollout plans, user feedback loops, training mechanisms, and performance tracking.
Manage multiple complex, cross-functional programs simultaneously while ensuring clear ownership, timelines, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
Apply rigorous quality and operational thinking to ensure listing tools and workflows support accurate, complete, compliant, and customer-friendly catalog data.
Communicate clearly and persuasively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders on program strategy, business impact, risks, and trade-offs.
Qualifications
Experience driving cross-functional programs in product, operations, ecommerce, marketplace, catalog, seller tools, or platform environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of cumulative experience in program management, product operations, business operations, ecommerce, analytics, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience using data to identify business opportunities, define hypotheses, prioritize initiatives, and measure impact.
Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with SQL or similar tools for data extraction and analysis.
Experience working with product and engineering teams to define requirements, improve tools, and launch scalable process or system improvements.
Strong program management skills, including managing complex initiatives, aligning stakeholders, tracking dependencies, and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
Ability to translate complex operational, technical, and data findings into clear business recommendations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and levels.
Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
