Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic community neuro team in Sheffield.

This role focuses on supporting adults with neurological conditions within the community, providing high-quality assessment, diagnosis, and intervention to individuals with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. The position offers flexibility, with hybrid working available. In this role, you will:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with acquired neurological conditions affecting communication and swallowing.

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs within community settings.

  • Provide therapy in clients’ homes across Sheffield, alongside remote appointments where clinically appropriate.

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to holistic care planning and rehabilitation goals.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical records in line with HCPC and service standards.

  • Offer advice, education, and support to families, carers, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).

  • Current HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.

  • Experience working with adults with neurological conditions (community experience desirable).

  • Competency in managing dysphagia.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and independent working skills.
