We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Barton Hill, Bristol. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role involves working within emergency department settings, providing specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents. You will be responsible for conducting urgent assessments, formulating treatment and risk management plans, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in delivering responsive and effective mental health services. The postholder will also participate in clinical meetings, liaise with families and external agencies, and ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with NHS standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, particularly in emergency or acute care settings
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
