The role spans three campuses and involves providing communication and language support to approximately 70 students, many of whom benefit from small group or whole-class interventions rather than 1:1 therapy.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced therapist who enjoys working in education, delivering impactful therapy, upskilling staff, and supporting young adults in a collaborative environment. The role is available ASAP and will run for the duration of the academic year, ending on 4th July 2026.

🗺️ Location and Hours (30 per week)

The role involves working across three campuses, with designated hours as follows:

  • EN5 (Barnet)

    • Mondays: 6 hours

    • Tuesdays: 6.5 hours

  • N14 (Southgate)

    • Wednesdays: 6 hours

    • Thursdays: 6.5 hours

  • NW9 (Colindale)

    • Fridays: 5 hours

We are ideally looking for one therapist to cover all campuses, though flexible arrangements may be considered.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions for young adults in a mainstream FE setting.

  • Conduct small group sessions, occasional 1:1s, classroom observations, and contribute to staff training and upskilling.

  • Liaise closely with teaching staff, support workers, and families to embed communication strategies.

  • Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with students’ learning goals.

  • Maintain high-quality documentation and progress notes in line with professional standards.

  • Be an active contributor to a student-centred, inclusive education environment.

📚 Qualifications and Experience

To be considered, you must have:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

  • Current HCPC registration.

  • Substantial experience working in education settings, ideally within FE or post-16 environments.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • A proactive approach to empowering education staff through coaching and modelling.

  • Confidence working independently across multiple sites.
