Are you a Band 8b Clinical Psychologist with experience in secure settings? We’re recruiting for a temporary role supporting adult men with complex mental health conditions at a specialist site in Birmingham. This is a brilliant opportunity to work flexibly (minimum 3 days per week) in a low secure ward, delivering impactful psychological care in a well-supported environment. The role offers competitive rates and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a service focused on recovery and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for men with complex mental health needs.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support care planning, formulation, and risk management.
- Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs.
- Offer consultation and supervision to colleagues where appropriate.
- Contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
We welcome applications from Clinical Psychologists who:
- Are HCPC registered
- Have experience working in secure or forensic settings, ideally with male patients
- Are confident in delivering psychological interventions in complex environments
- Can work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
