  • GMMB has a hybrid work schedule with at least three days in office presence.
  • This position is based in Washington, DC. 
  • Salary range - $70,000 - $85,000 

You are a Senior Account Executive with a strong background in earned media and cause communications with an interest in education, environment / climate or philanthropy who knows how to...

  • Research, write, edit, and proofread written materials, including creative strategy briefs, press materials, messaging documents, strategy memorandums, social media content, blog posts, web copy, advertising elements, and/or general client correspondence.
  • Execute media relations efforts including media list development and pitching, and develop strong ongoing relationships with journalists, reporters, and bloggers.
  • Coordinate with team members to develop social media content and manage social channels on behalf of clients.
  • Work across departments, including creative, digital, media, and/or production, to develop and implement communications and advertising strategies, media, materials, and creative collateral for clients' campaigns.
  • Work with team members to develop and manage project budgets and timelines.
  • Serve as day-to-day client contact, providing tactical support and guidance on communications and/or advertising efforts.
  • Stay informed on client industry and issues.
  • Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior staff members.

You have…

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, public policy, government, journalism or related field.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • A strong interest in current events and public policy that improves lives.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects.
  • Excellent client service skills; flexibility to work evenings and weekends - because we're a client services firm and sometimes that's when our clients need us.
  • An interest in education, philanthropy, environment, social justice, and the ability to drive projects from start to finish.
  • The ability to proactively problem solve, mind the details, and see the big picture.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other apps.
