Part-Time Morning BCBA — Pediatric ABA — Lincolnwood, IL
nspt· Board Certified Behavior Analyst
About this role
Compensation: $55–$60 per billable hour · Job Type: Part-time, hourly · Work Setting: In-person, clinic · Location: Lincolnwood, IL · Schedule: Morning-focused schedule, 3–5 days a week (we build it with you)
You don’t need a 40-hour caseload to be a great BCBA. You need a role that respects your actual life, and the clinical work that made you choose this field in the first place.
At North Shore Pediatric Therapy, we built part-time morning BCBA roles for clinicians who already know what they want their weeks to look like: present at home for the afternoon school pickup, available for a midday appointment, free to take the second half of the day for whatever it’s for.
What you actually get:
- Real flexibility on top of part-time. We build your weekly rhythm with you: 5 short mornings, 4 longer ones, 3 extended mornings, whatever fits. Then on top of that: school drop-off Tuesdays, doctor’s appointment Thursday afternoon, kid’s recital at 11, we work around what fits your life, not the other way around.
- The same caseload structure as our full-time BCBAs, scaled to your hours. 6–8 kids on a full caseload; your slice is built around the families and times you can serve.
- Supervision is 16–20%, built into your hours.
- True interdisciplinary care. BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and mental health providers working side by side. Part-time clinicians are on the same team.
- A clinical model that refuses blanket hour recommendations. We built the Gracent Care Calculator, a peer-reviewed tool we developed and made free for the entire field. Our VP of Clinical Quality and Training, Liza Bodner, leads this work. You don’t have to advocate for good practice here. You just practice.
- Part-time today doesn’t lock you out of a Lead BCBA or Clinical Director conversation later. If you want to scale up, we’ll talk.
Who will love this morning role:
- A parent of school-age kids: be in session at 8, in the school pickup line at 3.
- An early bird: your best clinical work happens before noon. Lean in.
- A clinician with an afternoon side: a writing project, a teaching role, a second part-time gig, an in-person community board. We won’t compete with it.
- A grad student or career-changer: your mornings are clinical, your afternoons are for what comes next.
What you’ll actually be doing:
- Conduct assessments, write individualized treatment plans grounded in assent-based, neuroaffirming care, support parent training, and supervise your RBTs.
- Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, and mental health providers as part of the same team.
- Run your own intakes. Your assessment, your plan, your client.
- Keep documentation and treatment plans at high clinical standards.
What you bring:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), licensed in the state of Illinois, and in good standing.
- Availability to consistently cover morning sessions. Could be 5 mornings a week of half-days, 4 days with longer morning blocks, or another rhythm. We build the schedule together in onboarding and adjust as needed.
- Strong communicator who is proactive and detail-oriented.
- Passion for serving children and families, especially those with autism and developmental needs.
What it pays:
- $55–$60 per billable hour, based on experience.
- Free in-house CEUs as a BACB ACE Provider.
- $500 annual Professional Development stipend, pro-rated by schedule.
- Other benefits (medical, retirement, etc.) depend on weekly hour threshold — we’ll walk you through specifics in the interview.
Pressure test us.
We know clinical autonomy, real flexibility, and meaningful mentorship are what you’ll actually decide on. If anything in this post sounds too good, or doesn’t match what you’re hearing elsewhere, ask us in the interview.
