About this role

We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to join our Autonomous Driving team in Europe. You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic and operational excellence across one of the most complex and high-stakes programmes in the company - working across strategic decision making, financial planning, and cross-functional project management to bring our autonomous mobility vision to life.

</span><strong>About us</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">

With over 200 million customers in 50+ countries, Bolt is one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Europe and Africa. And it's all thanks to our people.

We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome, regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.

Our ultimate goal is to make cities for people, not cars, and we need your help to achieve this mission!

</span><strong>About the role</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">

As Strategy & Operations Manager, you will support the Chief of Staff and the Head of Autonomous Driving - turning ambiguous, high-priority challenges into structured plans and measurable outcomes. You will own critical workstreams that sit at the intersection of strategy, finance, and operations, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep the programme moving at pace.

This is not an execution-only role. You will shape how the team makes decisions, allocates resources, and presents itself externally - influencing outcomes that are fundamental to the future of the programme.

<strong>Main tasks and responsibilities:</strong></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">

  • Own the end-to-end project management for strategic projects. Coordinate across internal teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, Public Policy, Finance) and external advisors to prepare compelling business plans and management reports.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic decision making by preparing market analyses (TAM, unit economics, competitive intelligence, regulatory landscape), detailed multi-scenario financial models and business cases.
  • Own the annual and quarterly budgeting cycle for the Autonomous Driving programme. Track budget vs. actuals, identify variances, and drive corrective action. Coordinate with central FP&A and Accounting teams across the financial reporting cycles.
  • Provide structured analysis and recommendations to support high-stakes decisions. Build frameworks for evaluating market opportunities, operational trade-offs, and investment priorities, and distil complex information into concise outputs for senior leadership.
  • Act as the connective tissue between the Autonomous Driving team and the rest of the organisation to drive alignment and accelerate execution.

Experience with ML safety, explainability, or perception system robustness is nice to have.

</span><strong>About you:</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">

  • Significant experience (5-8+ years) in strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a high-growth tech or venture environment.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, with experience building business plans, scenario analyses etc.
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Experience with institutional funding applications or grant management is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - able to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for senior audiences.
  • Highly structured and self-directed, with the ability to operate with ambiguity and drive clarity independently.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying if you feel you’re the kind of person described above!

<strong>Why you’ll love it here:</strong>

  • Play a direct role in shaping the future of mobility.
  • Impact millions of customers and partners in 600+ cities across 50+ countries.
  • Work in fast-moving autonomous teams with some of the smartest people in the world.
  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Get a rewarding salary and stock option package that lets you focus on doing your best work.
  • Enjoy the flexibility of working in a hybrid mode with a minimum of 2 days in the office each week to foster strong connections and teamwork.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
