Quality Control & Training Specialist

Overview
The Quality Control Training Analyst reviews previous day’s admissions, registrations, insurance notification faxes, and identifies and corrects all demographic information, reviews required forms to ensure appropriate fields are checked, signed, timed, dated and witnessed. Records errors by registrar and provides report to manager.
Responsibilities
The Specialist verifies all ‘unable to sign’ patients and makes an attempt to obtain required signatures and documents efforts in account, reports to manager daily. Trains all new hires and or existing staff and completes competency for each area employee was trained. Provides competency and feedback to manager upon completion.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years hospital experience in registration, and or insurance verification. High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to type with accuracy at a rate of 25-30 wpm. Ability to work well and remain calm in time of stress. Bilingual preferred. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
