About this role

Overview

The Operations Manager, Accounts Receivable Collections position will oversee a team of eight or more employees responsible for clearing aged receivables through research, analysis, payment application, audit resolution, and third-party vendor management. This position will lead the overall day to day collection process including data analytics/KPI’s, reporting, escalations, and collaboration with the team as well as other internal departments to increase process efficiencies. This will be a hands-on role and will require the manager to perform collector functions as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversee Accounts Receivable Collections team.

· Serve as escalation point for issues that impact high profile agents, customers, and internal business units.

· Perform collector functions as needed to ensure goal attainment.

· Build a continuous improvement mindset across the team and help identify opportunities for efficiency.

· Establish, manage, and communicate both individual and team departmental goals

· Model behavior and coach, mentor, motivate and hold each individual accountable.

· Develop and evolve one on one meetings with each individual creating two-way communication.

· Develop ongoing training program for new hires.

· Partner with IT to resolve issues and enhance system support.

Qualifications

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

· 5+ years of progressive management experience in a production environment.

· Insurance/Banking/Financial industry experience preferred.

· Excellent computer skills and highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.

· Collaborative management style.

· Outstanding communication and people skills.

· Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

· Experienced in coaching, mentoring, motivating, and providing constructive feedback.

· Experience in setting and meeting ambitious goals in a challenging/fast paced environment.

· Experience in automation and analyzing/summarizing large data sets.

· Success in documenting workflows and processes.

· Light travel possible, but not probable

The expected salary range for this role is $76,600-$85,000/year.
