About this role

Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Directorate for Enterprise Information Systems (DIR EIS). DIR-EIS delivers and sustains USSOCOM’s enterprise information environment by rapidly fielding communications, IT, and mission support capabilities to SOF worldwide. The directorate executes large-scale procurement and deployment of secure network and processing nodes, endpoints, gateways, and cross-domain-enabled services while strengthening cybersecurity through Zero Trust assessments, identity and access management improvements, and compliance-driven modernization. DIR-EIS also enhances operational resiliency and mission effectiveness by integrating transport and distribution solutions, accelerating cryptographic and network lifecycle replacements, and advancing innovative environments and enterprise tools that improve command and control, collaboration, and information advantage.

 

This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill AFB, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze metrics and requirements from supported organizations
  • Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
  • Support/conduct portions of market research
  • Keep program information current and organize data to submit to management for decision-making
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies, and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the program; develop recommendations to improve program operations.
  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in the requirements development process in support of Senior Managers and Government counterparts.
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance with policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary.
  • Coordinate program information with personnel.
  • Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs.
  • Determine requirements; develop goals and objectives to accomplish the mission of Program Support, government counterparts to ensure execution of programs in accordance with plans, and to modify program policies and procedures based on changes to regulations.
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in the development of solutions to program issues.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the assigned acquisition program; develop acquisition documentation to include SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, ADM, CFDR, FDR, MFP, LCSP, ILSP, program protection plans, and FM deliverables spend plans, Congressional Briefs, inter-department and agency funding transfers, and develop funding strategies addressing emerging requirements and budget challenges.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS clearance with SCI EligibilityCertifications: DAWIA Practitioner (formerly Level II), Equivalency in the Program Management field; must have completed DAWIA Practitioner non-resident course prerequisites in Program Management, or complete within 6 months of hire with approved customer deferralEducation: Bachelor’s degree in acquisition/business or related fieldYears of Experience: 10 years of DoD acquisition experience 

  • 3 years of DoD experience in Information Technology
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System,” and the Defense Acquisition Framework process
