Senior Presales Architect / Principal Solutions Consultant

We are now seeking a Senior Presales Architect/Principal Solutions Consultant to join our Professional Services Team in Hong Kong. The Professional Services team follows an integrated, collaborative approach with the Sales, Product Services, Technical Support, and Research and Development teams. You will interact with talented professionals across different functions, not only in the territory but also globally. Alongside the teams, you will align to deliver on customers’ outcomes and grow our footprint for the future.

Requirements:

• Candidates must live in Hong Kong and must be able to commute/work onsite with the team.
• Candidate must speak and understand English & Cantonese at a professional level.
• Mandarin speaking proficiency is also preferred, but not required.

Location: Hong Kong

Hybrid: Minimum of 2 days onsite per week, plus occasional travel

Responsibilities

• Works with the sales team to define a technical sales strategy for each prospect.
• Prepares and delivers presentations of the company’s solutions to all levels in the prospect’s organization.
• Lead discovery workshop sessions to gather customer requirements and critical business challenges.
• Develop Blueprints, design solutions, hold the vision, and evangelize how the solution addresses technical and business needs.
• Lead architecture discussions and influence prospects around performance and scaling, API Management best practices, security, topology, etc.
• Build and deliver solution demonstrations.
• Manage, coordinate, and execute proof of concepts (POC’s). Develop POC plans with agreed use cases.
• Assist with the delivery of technical and product consulting content for RFP responses.
• Be able to handle technical presentations at trade shows or conferences, and to help with marketing campaigns or events for content regarding technical/product aspects.
• Be able to assist in solution implementation, individually or with teams involving Axway solution consultants, cloud engineers, R&D, partners, and customers’ technical resources.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, or similar disciplines.
• Experience in technology-related roles, ideally with a software/solutions vendor.
• Full width of knowledge across all IT domains, including integration, cloud, UX, and business process
• Experience in API Management solutions design and deployment experience using products like Axway, Apigee, Mulesoft, WS02, Kong, Boomi and Layer 7, IBM Datapower/APIConnect, etc..
• Familiar with DevOps integration and processes for digital business.
• Good understanding of public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.
• Understands a hybrid integration platform.
• Good understanding of architectural principles of cloud and hybrid-deployed systems, including SaaS, PaaS, multitenancy, security, elastic scaling (Docker Swarm), etc.
• Experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure, K8S containerization, security, scaling, monitoring, alerts, messaging patterns, integration patterns, and micro services.
• Experience with EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
• Fluent in Mandarin

A plus

• Cloud architect level certification (AWS, Azure, GPC, or equivalent).
• Experience with agile project management and development methodologies.
• Best practice and experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, Chef, Puppet, etc.
