Where You’ll Work

St. Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women’s services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Required technical work in the application of a variety of physical therapeutic treatments to patients. Responsible for assisting in the treatment of physical disabilities, injuries, and diseases through the use of a variety of therapeutic modalities. Work involves the application of a physician's prescription in accordance with standard therapy practice. All work is performed under the direction or supervision of a Licensed Physical Medical and Rehab Clinician and is reviewed through observation of techniques employed and results obtained.

1. Administers treatment in all phases of therapeutic exercises and functional training as directed by licensed therapist.     2. Administers treatment using exercise equipment and mobility devices as instructed by therapist.     3. Administers therapeutic modalities.     4. Assists in observing the reaction of patients and notifying the supervising therapist.     5. Performs delegated part of a treatment plan as directed and Provides the therapist with a description of treatment given and of the patient’s progress.

*CPR/BLS certification
