Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.To be successful in this role, you will need current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.
- PERFORMS DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES WITH THE SPECT CAMERA.
- ACQUIRES AND PROCESSES COMPUTER DATA.
- RESPONSIBLE TO ASSESS IMAGE QUALITY AND COMPUTER DATA FOR DIAGNOSTIC QUALITY.
- OBSERVE AND MAINTAINS SAFETY MEASURES.
- ENSURES PATIENTS AND PERSONNEL ARE MONITORED ACCORDING TO THE NRC AND TITLE 17.
- RESPONSIBLE TO POST AND MAINTAIN RADIATION SAFETY BADGE REPORTS.
Job Requirements
Required:
- 1+ years acute care experience
- Nuclear Medical Technologist: CA
- Expanded IV Therapy Course
- Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
Preferred:
- Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
