Mercy Hospital is an 82 bed, acute care hospital located in the scenic southwestern Colorado town of Durango. Join our team as a Clinical Pharmacist. This position provides a quality level of comprehensive clinical pharmaceutical services demonstrating sound judgment based upon knowledge and application of professional, departmental, and organizational principles and standards. Demonstrates an ability to coordinate subordinate activities by providing direction and guidance concerning the operational activities of the department.
Schedule: Variable shifts: 6am-4:30pm; 7:30am-6pm; 8am-6:30pm; 1:30pm-10pm Monday-Friday and 7am-5:30pm or 9:30am-8pm Sa/Su. Variable shifts and alternating weekends/holidays. Typical weeks are four 10-hour shifts, late shift weeks are five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
Required Licensure and Certifications
- BLS-CPR
- Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works
Preferred Licensure and Certifications
- ACLS
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
- Must possess strong knowledge of Pharmacy Services; knowledgeable and skilled in current practice concepts of pharmacy practice settings; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
