Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Communications Manager, you will help our organization, its internal stakeholders, and the communities we serve strategically communicate key messages and manage our brand reputation so they can achieve enhanced engagement, positive media coverage, and effective crisis management.

 

Every day you will develop and implement comprehensive internal and external communication strategies and plans, serving as a primary media contact and leading crisis communication efforts. You will be expected to oversee the creation of compelling content, manage executive visibility initiatives, cultivate relationships with external stakeholders including patients and physicians, and provide guidance and mentorship to a team of communication professionals.

 

To be successful in this role you must possess a proven track record in developing and executing strategic marketing and communications plans, a strong understanding of healthcare trends and regulations, excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and collaborate across diverse teams.

 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive internal & external communication strategies and plans to effectively communicate the organization's mission, values, and regional key messages to stakeholders, employees, other internal audiences (e.g., physicians, nurses, volunteers, etc.), and the markets we serve. Function as a point of contact for media inquiries to ensure that relationships with media representatives and outlets are managed, including proactive media pitches, press releases and media kits to generate positive media coverage.
  • Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and respond to potential crises or emergencies.
  • Develop and execute public relations strategies to enhance the company's brand and reputation within the communities we serve and across key stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and industry associations. Develop strategies to monitor, manage and enhance the organization's reputation in the healthcare industry and the communities we serve, while addressing any negative sentiment or misinformation.
  • Support executive visibility initiatives, including media interviews, speaking engagements, and industry conferences.
  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage and mitigate potential issues or crises that may impact the company's reputation. Oversee the development and production of external communication materials, including brochures, newsletters, website content, and social media posts.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and communicate with external stakeholders, such as patients, families, community members, and referring physicians. Lead and manage a team of communication professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction within the region.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of internal communication channels

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the healthcare industry, required.

  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare, marketing and communications trends, regulations, and best practices required.
