Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapy Assistant, you will help patients in need of rehabilitation navigate their recovery and mobility journeys by collaborating closely with licensed physical therapists to implement tailored treatment plans so they can regain their strength, improve their functional movement, and achieve their personal health goals.
Every day you will aid patients with therapeutic exercises, closely monitor their physiological progress, and document their outcomes in electronic medical records. You will be expected to deliver compassionate care and excellent customer service while maintaining a safe, clean, and fast-paced clinical environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, have a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology, and be experienced with electronic medical records (EMR) software to thrive in a dynamic team setting.
- Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist you will implement and follow the plan of care
- Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and assist with discharge planning for individual patients
- Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities
- Assists with patient program management while delivering quality patient services
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Arizona
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Preferred
- One (1) year of acute care experience
