Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Registered Nurse (RN), you will help individuals and families receive professional, safe, and confidential care within our Family Birth Center so they can experience optimal health outcomes during their perinatal journey.

 

Every day you will assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and cultural needs, plan and deliver competent care, and provide interactive patient and family education. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, document care according to established guidelines, and participate in improving organizational performance.

 

To be successful in this role you must possess at least one year of labor and delivery experience in an acute care setting, strong communication skills, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and precision in all nursing activities.

 

We are offering a $15,000 Sign-on Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • One (1) year of experience in Labor and Delivery within an acute care setting
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (all nurses whose home unit is Maternal/Child) must obtained within six (6) months of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (must obtained within six (6) months of hire)
  • Completion of Advanced Fetal Monitoring course every two (2) years (Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring acceptable at hire but must complete the Advanced AWHONN course within one (1) year of new assignment to Labor and Delivery) or maintain the NCC EFM certification
  • STABLE certification (for all Labor and NICU nurses) must obtained within one (1) year of hire
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Ability to read speak and write English
