Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Acute Care Therapy Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center provides the evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding medical setting. Our Therapists are critical members of a multi-disciplinary team dedicated to achieving optimal outcomes for our patients. We are committed to teamwork and collaboration; our participation in interdisciplinary patient rounding occurs daily on a number of units throughout the facility providing therapy professionals to work autonomously.
Expectations:
- Provides patient care, including evaluating the patient for treatment, providing and directing administration of the care plan upon the referral from the physician.
- Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and discharge planning for individual patients.
- Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities.
- Assists with patient program management, while delivering quality patient services.

Job Requirements
Minimum:- Internship or rotation in appropriate clinical setting.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Computer skills.
- Arizona License in professional area.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- Two (2) years progressive experience in clinical area performing patient clinical care.
- Masters or Doctorate degree in appropriate clinical area.
- Prior use of electronic health record.
- Aquatics Lymphodemia orthopedics and neuro Physical Therapy experience highly preferred.
