Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Oncology Acute Nurse, you will help a unique patient population—including medical-surgical, oncology, and telemetry patients—by coordinating, supervising, and implementing evidence-based care so they can receive safe, specialized treatment and achieve the highest level of recovery and patient satisfaction.
Every day you will work on our dynamic 32-bed unit, managing a busy caseload of 4 to 6 patients per shift. You will be expected to utilize cross-training opportunities across medical, surgical, oncology, and monitored telemetry beds, executing precise clinical interventions with a high sense of urgency.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a passionate patient-first mindset, bring keen assessment and critical thinking skills to a fast-paced environment, and thrive in a setting where you will rarely experience the same day twice.
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentationÂ
- Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Job Requirements
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursingÂ
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
- ACLS certification (in monitored areas)

- One (1) year of recent acute care experienceÂ
- One (1) year of Oncology experienceÂ
- BSN Bachelor's Degree of Nursing
