Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist at CRMC, you will perform duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. In this position you must demonstrate an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing the procedures.
Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.
Must exhibit a strong knowledge of cardiovascular diseases, and be able to interpret data gathered during procedures, and recognize potential implications in patient care or complications.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.
- Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order
- Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
- Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
Job Requirements
Required
- Two (2)-years of current Radiology Technologist and hands-on scrub including interventional experience.
- Completion of approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program
- Current Radiology License CRT
- Current Arizona State License (MRTBE)
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
